Are unsightly spider veins or varicose veins keeping
you from having great legs, slowing you down or
causing pain and heaviness?
|
 |
|
|
| All of our Endovenous
Laser Treatments and procedures are performed
by our physician and founder, Dr. Brian E. Hancock. Dr.
Hancock has 19 years of experience in the Rogue Valley,
Grants Pass community, and is an active medical staff
member at Three Rivers Hospital. Dr. Hancock is also an
active member of the American College of Phlebology.
Vein problems affect approximately 50% of women
and 20% of men in the United States. The range
of symptoms can vary from undesirable spider veins, and
unsightly facial capillaries, to enlarged varicose leg
veins. All these disorders are damaged veins that have
become permanently enlarged due to leaking valves. Left
untreated, varicose/spider veins will progressively worsen,
and over time, may lead to swelling, discoloration, and
ulcerations of the legs and feet. It is very important
to identify and treat the underlying cause of the particular
vein problem to prevent recurrence, and achieve ideal
rapid cosmetic results. |
The
symptoms associated with varicose vein disease fall into
three categories: Physical
symptoms
- Tiredness
- Heaviness in the leg
- Pain - aching or burning sensations
Visual symptoms
- The tortuous blue vein disease seen
running down the leg
- Areas of small red/blue blood vessels
in the skin known as spider veins
- Swelling in the lower leg, restless
leg syndrome
Long term consequences
